April, May, and June.
Journal Entry: Wed May 7, 2008, 7:08 PM
Well, April is over. Can't say much happened besides the San Fran Trip and that which I stated in my last entry about the Triple Trouble Case. We did have Standardized Testing, though, but I know I did alright. Now we're on to May, which is much more exciting so far, and it's only been one week!
I did have an appointment with an orthopedic specialist in the end of April, however, and that pretty much changed my life. I have this genetic condition called Sherman's Kyphosis. It basically makes my spine make an 80 degree angle. My upper vertebrae also look moth-eaten. It's kind of gross. The only way to fix it is with a surgery where they put screws and a metal rod in my back. On the plus side, I'll be taller when they finish! But more on that later. Back to May.
I can't remember anything interesting happening this weekend...so let me fast forward to this week so far. Monday a friend of mine got in trouble with the school, so I had to go in today since I was a witness, but that's confidential. Yesterday was crazy, though. So crazy in fact that I need quite a few paragraphs to describe it!
The morning was late start, so I started class at 9:40. Then it was school as usual until Health Class, my last class of the day. This girl hates my guts for whatever reason, so she started chewing me out for something I can't even remember; I guess because someone jacked my chair and so I took the one next to me which someone had been sitting in.
Well, she gets mad (not even her problem). She said some things and then asked why I was such an idiot. I just looked up at her, said "You're a bitch." and continued working. She was pissed, so she walked up to me and I'm sure she would have slapped me, but the teacher saw and stopped things. I got a step, I believe she got a step, and it was almost resolved. However, she wouldn't let it go, so the teacher kept me in class, got the whole story, and warned me that the girl had put a target on my back (note that he said the girl was with a guy in the hall and they were waiting for me).
I headed for my mom's truck, and we went to the optometrist. My brother had an appointment, so I sat and texted my friend. Then we left and headed for the bank. I took $90 out of my account (I only have $4 now) and bought ROCK BAND!!!!!! However, my mom paid for half of it (drums are not cheap), and I owe her $50 now, which is a bummer. But it's ROCK BAND! What's even better is at the same time mom bought us a Wii as a good grade gift. So the Wii went in my brother's room and his 360 went in my room so I could play ROCK BAND! I am soooooooo happy!
Fast forward to today. Woke up, went to school, got called in about the "friend in trouble" incident, got through my morning classes, had lunch, and then went to English, where we had this motivational speaker. It was odd, but fun. Health was a drag because the girl was giving me this really bad look and this guy next to her in the hall looked quite menacing.
Oh yeah, this morning after I got out of the security office (friend in trouble issue) I had Gym and we had to run the mile. 8:00 for an A. I got 9:22, a C. I don't think I'm going to get an A in that class, which is a crying shame. Health also isn't looking too good. Oh well. Let's get back to this afternoon, after Health.
I got home and told mom about the friend in trouble issue, the girl issue, and the PE grade issue. I was a little down, so I went to my room...and started cleaning. At this time, I am still cleaning. I have trash bags everywhere, one for paper, one for plastic wrap and plastic sheeting, one for metals, two for cardboard (filled the first one), and one for regular trash. I have a lot of boxes too. It's atrocious, but I'll get it squeaky clean. However, my body aches all over now. Gah!
Alright. Now to tell you about June. School ends the first Thursday. The following week is my surgery. After that I'll be bedridden for a month. And then I'll be in July and I'll have to plan the rest of my summer as well as the start of the school year. Until then, I draw this journal to a close.
TL;DR: Read the journal, I put a lot of effort into it.
- Mood:
Wow!
