San Francisco is known for its foggy mornings, and this one was no exception. Still, it's not hard to peel away the layers of fog and see the beauty of the bay, even from Alcatraz. If there is one thing I envy of the prison, it's the location. If you were in the Prison Courtyard, lived in one of the houses below the cell house, or if you were just being escorted from your cell to your workplace on the other side of the island, for a time, be it one minute or every second of every day, you can see the famous Golden Gate, the City of San Francisco, and the Bay Bridge.
